Call Creative Spaces to start your remodeling process!

Creative Spaces Remodeling removes the uncertainty and stress of remodeling your home with our proven system, developed over owner John Johnson’s 30 years in the industry. During the entirety of the process, the focus is on you and your home. You can rely on our team to be engaging, direct, detail-oriented, and flexible from the consultation to the final additions.

Meet and Share

The first of our 10-step system includes an intimate meeting with you, which includes a thorough discussion of your needs, wants and our suggestions. Think of us as your “remodeling therapists”. Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee, and tell us everything we need to know to make your home a better place for your family. We don’t just want to know what you want; we want to know why you want it. This helps us better understand the problems so that we can help solve those problems with solutions that will be best for you.

Why do you need a bigger family room? What aspect of the kitchen needs to be changed? Where do the kids do their homework in the afternoon? Where do they eat breakfast? Where do grandchildren sleep & play when they visit?  In regards to bedroom remodels, we need to know if it’s for a child who is getting older and needs more privacy or if it’s for a relative coming to live with you.  For improved access to the back yard, we need to know what goes on in the back yard, how often does it happen and who will use this new doorway to the backyard.  Contractors in the past may not have asked these questions, but we’re not like other contractors. An intimate relationship with great communication is the difference between a “box on the back of a house” addition and a creative, fully functional space that flows with your existing home. The goal of a properly designed addition is to not know where the old stops and the new begins.

Budget

Once we’ve discussed  the problems you are trying to solve or the dreams you are trying to create with your project, we must discuss the budget. This is what drives the entire process. We like to put it on the table and deal with it first so that we are all understanding of what we are trying to do and how much it will approximately cost.  Our goal is to make sure that your project will fit into your desired budget before we start with the actual design phase.  There’s no need to start the design phase of a $200,000 project if you were looking to spend $50,000. Discussing the budget will allow for us to determine if we need to scale the project back, raise the budget, or keep everything as is!

We take pride in doing good work that is clear and honest from the beginning to end. Once we’ve thoroughly determined your needs and your budget, we can move on to the real fun and start the Design Phase!
